Hashing & The Blockchain Technology

The 1st thing I want to tell you about is something that is called "Hashing" in short. People use something that is called an Algo that is short for Algorithm, it's a computer program that encodes something that you want to be sure. That people can't read very easily the most common way in the past is secret messages in times of war...

As in the video people did find ways to break the encoded information, Now of days, we are doing the same... But it's not to stop an attack on your side from the bad guys it's a way that people can use to make sure a new technology that is pretty fast and secure that will work... Because there is only one right code that we call a Hash and it's a race to find the right hash in cryptocurrency mining... Because if your group find the right hash 1st you will get digital gold and the fees that people pay to move there cryptocurrency around...

That is the basic part of something that we call the blockchain which is a Distributed ledger. From "Wikipedia.com" A distributed ledger (also called shared ledger) is a consensus of replicated, shared, and synchronized digital data geographically spread across multiple sites, countries, or institutions. A good thing about the blockchain technology if there is a war in one or more countries the system will continue to run and the information is very hard to modify... Because you are doing it in front of lots of fast computers that are making sure what you say is true or not and they are doing it... With Hashing, that means they are guessing at this time estimated with bitcoin mining the system is doing about 4,500,000 trillions of calculations per second all the time...

This was from blockchain.info

With today's hashing the block before the one you are working on at this time, does give the hash code from the one before that and all of the transactions that were made in the time period "with Bitcoin they are 10min blocks all the time, if gets faster or slower the system will make it harder or easier to make it back to the 10min block time"

This video will help you understand what is going on and the opportunity's that mining has for you...

If you want to get into Bitcoin mining you can start with this mining company, The price does change over time... They are getting you the best price for the hashing power at this time you will be paying about $16.35USD per 100 GH/s... Or if you want to mine Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies this mining company maybe a good place for you, They use "green energy" for their mining and their contract starts at $30USD for an open-ended mining contractor if you want to have a 2 year mining contract... With Monero Mining for 2 years, it's starting at $50 USD... Please read over their websites for more info... As you can see it doesn't really cost you too much to get started in this new opportunity...

So get started today if this makes sense to you or if you need help just send me a note at Just.residual@gmail.com

But the blockchain technology it's just not a fast safe way to move your money around, I have been listening to a book at that is called "Blockchain Revolution" and there are other use cases for this technology... In the book they give examples some of them is you can vote on who gets into office in the next elections or you own your own house and your property... Much more is in the book if you are at all interested in this idea, I highly suggest you get your own copy... But one thing they do suggest in the book is if the blockchain technology will survive into the future... We must take care of it now and with all of the great opportunity promises, the future will be a great one... If the tools are used in the right way... Also in the book, they do give a list of companies and ideas that you may be able to take advantage of... Or at least take note of what they are doing and become a user of the idea...

For this article, this is my understanding of what is going on and may change over time... I'm also on youtube talking about this...

Budget & Divorce

Hello readers,

Recently I have been talking to "Tatiana Terekhova" she is a Divorce Financial Analyst and I would like to share some divorce statistics and one of her blog post with you...

According to Statistics Canada, about 38 per cent of all marriages taking place in 2004 will have ended in divorce by 2035. The total divorce rate was down slightly from its peak of about 41 per cent in the mid 1980s, but slightly higher than the rate of about 37 per cent recorded in the mid 1990s.

Tatiana has been in the financial world since the year 2000... In her work, she will not take any sides and she will help you take a hard look at your financial life, so you can get that in order... To see her talk take a look at this video - https://goo.gl/SLTi94

---------------

Budgeting is one of the most popular New Year resolutions in North America. Spending wisely, tracking daily expenses, and avoiding costly credit cards are on everyone’s agenda in January.

Regrettably, all this enthusiasm evaporates by the middle of the month. Why? Lack of specific financial goals and no practical knowledge about budgeting are the culprits to blame. Alas, not only can budgeting improve your bottom line but also it can effectively become a life changing exercise. And, it does not cost much!

Unlike many people out there, I enjoy budgets and cash flow analysis. I dive deep into your bank and credit card statements in order to categorize and rationalize expenses. It’s akin to reading a good mystery book or solving a puzzle about someone’s life. It actually compares to studying one’s medical records, so much it is revealed. Like a blood test, cash flow analysis can explain current issues and identify the problems that have not yet occurred. Did you know, that poor budgeting and regular overspending could eventually lead to a divorce?

Often, financial mess is simply a reflection of poor lifestyle choices. Bad habits translate into unjustified overspending. Many people don’t realize that cutting cigarettes and alcohol ($400/month) can buy them a luxury car; eliminating junk food and drive-through breakfasts ($350), fancy clothing; curbing TV (and lengthy commercials with it), time for self-education. Better car, clothes and good books can help to find a better job or a better partner.

As a divorce financial analyst, I help clients with their financial statements – namely, Form 13.1 Financial Statement (Property and Support Claims). I analyze and dissect bank and credit card statements, categorize expenses and rationalize each and every item.

I can tell apart between two people with the same income and their ability to fulfill spousal support obligations; all based on their personal life circumstances. The end findings can be astonishing!

Budget 1: Thomas & Sandra settle on a lower amount

  • Thomas’s income: $100,000/year, IT Consultant;
  • Sandra’s part-time income: $30,000/year, part-time librarian
  • Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines: $1,105 – $1794 per month

The proposed monthly middle range spousal support of $1,449/month seemed to Thomas next to impossible. Thomas’s family lawyer retained FAIRSPLIT to do a thorough budget analysis, which revealed that Thomas’s commute from Guelph to Markham is costing him $1270/month: 407 ETR, excessive wear and tear on the car, higher insurance, and gas.

To get this high paying IT job, Thomas had to take a program, which ended up costing him a little fortune. He financed his tuition costs via student loans and credit cards; so now he is obligated to pay $830/month for the next 7 years.

On the other hand, Sandra has very low commute costs and no childcare expenses, as she works close to home. Her pension plan at work is very generous for her income, whereas Thomas has to contribute 7% of his earnings to fund his retirement.

All of these financial insights, quantified and summarized into a comprehensive report, showed to both spouses that a more manageable (for Thomas) amount of $950 of monthly spousal support, was sufficient for Sandra to pay her bills and even save $100 for a rainy day thanks to a higher non-taxable child tax benefit.

Budget 2: Derek and Mary settle on a higher amount

  • Derek’s income: $100,000/year, Sales Manager;
  • Mary’s income: $45,000/year, Administrative Assistant;
  • Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines: $545 – $1416 per month

Mary has to commute to work, save for her retirement, and pay rent. She can’t possibly see how would she survive on $922/month (mid.range SSAG). Even the high end of SSAG, $1,416/month, seemed low.

Fairsplit illustrated Derek that once tax deduction is taken, the $1500 gross monthly spousal support is effectively equivalent to a $880 net. Our lifestyle analysis had revealed several ongoing expenses Derek thought little about; excessive banking fees, payment protector insurances on several credit cards, and daily take-outs from restaurants. All totalled to a $1,100/month on average.

Then, we compared $880 vs. $1,100, and were able to show the client that some reasonable budget cuts will easily free up money to pay necessary spousal support.

Simple overview of #Bitcoin

In the beginning, there was the barter system, then after a while, humans did get tired of that system of giving me that 12 eggs and I will give you my cow... Who did get the most out of the deal? It's hard to say!

After that humans started trading in gold and silver then we did have the paper saying we own you "X" gold or silver... Then back in the 1970s, the USA did go off the gold standard... We have a lot more inflation "Don't forget it compounds over time" since the gold standard...

Now since 2008 to 2009 financial crisis

Since the financial crisis, people did start to use something that is called Bitcoin and blockchain technology did come about... But Bitcoin is not the only game in town that does use blockchain they are called altcoins. But for this article, we will stay with Bitcoin... Bitcoin is not perfect but it's a different way to get control over your money... Because with the blockchain it's in the public space and people can see who did give money to who... Don't worry it just accounts names that are just a line of letters and numbers... With the system people can see if you try to use more money from what you have at the time... So the inflation is known, there is only going to be 21 million bitcoins in existence will be reached sometime in the year 2140... With that knowledge, we know how much it is already and how much will be available yesterday, today and tomorrow... We have people who are called "miners" that make sure all of the blocks in the chain is true... They do get paid for their work, they get Bitcoins if they win the block and they also get the fees from people moving their money around. Bitcoin is a smaller amount require to buy from gold... What I mean you can buy $1 USD or $1 CAD and you will get something like for $1 USD at the time as this writing you will get about 0.000934919 Bitcoins... With gold you have to buy one unit which is $1249.20 USD... with that being said it's more available for the common person to get into Bitcoin...

This is meant to be a simple overview of Bitcoin and why it may be a good idea to take a look in to it... If you have any questions or comments you can leave it on this page or you can send me a note to me...

You can connect via this email address just.residual@gmail.com

What is #Bitcoin and how to get some?

Now you know what #Bitcoin is, Now let's talk about how you can get them for yourself...

One of the ways that the video did say is go to an exchange... Of the exchange I use is coinbase.com for this exchange and if you are in the US you can connect your account with your bank account... For the people in the rest of the world, they do accept your CreditCard(s)... They do ask you to identify yourself with a government issued ID... The process is not really that bad and actually, the site is quite fast and you can get an app on your phone... #Bitcoin and #Ethereum wallet... With all this, they do have 2-Step Verification

The 2nd way to get Bitcoin is to mine them... You have to ways to do this, the 1st way to mine Bitcoin is to buy your own hardware... They can be expensive and the power that you will use it maybe high... Note you will need to have it on 24/7 and over time it will be less profitable and then you need to put up "X" to buy more hardware and over and over... If that is good for you go for it.

I like the 2nd way! Outsourcing it, the company you higher to mine your Bitcoin will have more experienced from you and since they have more people just like you and me. They have the power of scale so they can get the hardware at a better cost with the power... With saying all that my 1st company that I have to outsource is called Genesis Mining... They are a good company if you ask them a question they will get back to you under a day... From my experience when you buy what is called "hashpower" they will be approved very fast, the 1st one may take some time... They will pay out the profits on a daily basis if you meet the min cost... They are very user-friendly, and you can change your mining allocation very easily... They mine #Bitcoin, #Litecoin, #Dash, #Ether and #Zcash.

This is my watch list... For 02.13.2017

I have not done my work in my lost posts, I have been busy and I'm using my a 2nd account to see how this idea works out...

This is going to be my 1st trade using Fibonacci Retracements and Extensions, with my studies are a Simple Moving Avg with a 50 and 100 bar look back and a vwap that I did find on google... That doesn't reset at the end of the trading day/week or months...

I'm using "Think or Swim" to find the charts that I like and for getting my updates at work...I'm using the stock app that is in my iphone and a app that is called "Technician App" all of this is free...You may have to do some home work to see what works for you...

1st up is $FRED What I see is someone or a group of people did buy on the bar that is highlighted in this photo... Also I'm seeing a 50% pull back in price. With the 50 day avg is over the 100 day avg... and the VWAP vs price is not too far from each other... In the 2nd picture I'm seeing the 50 hour avg is higher over the 100 hour avg and the price vs VWAP is the same...

FREDday.JPG
My 2nd stock on my list is $TEVA The grey line is the support line that has been in play for quite some time in this stock at least back to 2002 and it's near it's 52 week low with the MACD working it's way back... With the last 4 times reporting earnings beatting estimates and a Div yield 4.00% is not a bad stock to watch...

Jesse Livermore

Jesse Livermore was born on July 26, 1877. He was called "The boy plunger" Because he did buy a lot of stock at one time and after it made sense to him after reading the "tape" he did sell it all off at one time... And did add a short sell to his actions...

The book that is called "reminiscences of a stock operator" is a good read/listen, because it is a thinly disguised biography... And shows the times really has not changed too much... They just change names/technology...But how humans react is the same in boom times and crash...

Here are some quotes from Jesse Livermore...

There is only one side of the market and it is not the bull side or the bear side, but the right side. Jesse Livermore -> source

I learned early that there is nothing new in Wall Street. There can’t be because speculation is as old as the hills. Whatever happens in the stock market today has happened before and will happen again. I’ve never forgotten that.

I want to put down what I'm thinking about over the weekend as far as trading go's

In this video I do agree with this guy most of the time, there is a part of Warren Buffett that we should take in, but like he did say it's a new age...

But I think there is a place for momentum trading or swing trading, as put forward in this podcast -> https://www.theinvestorspodcast.com/momentum-investing-wes-gray-part2

Like Edward Thorp does talk in this "chat with traders" interview we all need some kind of edge...

The moving average the blue one is the average over the last 50 days and the white one is the average of the last 100 days, the price has gone down in the last couple of days... But it's above the resistance that has been in play for the pass 4 years and it's above the resistance that has been in play since 12/15/16... Also this stock has a dividend yield of 12.17%
